At HYDRO-CON, we consider our employees our most important resource. As the customers have a regular contact person within our staff who knows them, their installation and their needs.

In line with that, we would like to highlight Ole Sørensen, the key driver behind Hydro-Cons's service and repair department.

Service and repair management in HYDRO-CON

Ole started as head of the service and repair department at HYDRO-CON in June 2018. He has a broad area of ​​responsibility which embraces; service and repairs, spare parts sales, purchasing of special parts, scheduling of assembler personnel, coordination with customers, invoicing, re-inspections and installation checks with Kiwa, as well as ISO certification. He plays an important role as a rope holder between production, installers and customers. He himself states that one of the biggest challenges in his job is to "keep track of manpower and their time spent." In order to best handle all stakeholders and meet targets around call and turnaround times, Ole works daily to rotate personelles schedules around and coordinate with our production and suppliers, and to try to plan for a week ahead.

What does a typical work day look like for you?

"A typical business day consists of telephone conversations with customers about service visits and planning of service and repair visits. Spare parts sales and dispatch of goods. Planning and effecting employees. To pack up the repairs and obtain spare parts from the production, or from external suppliers. help the production with manpower when required, plan with the production when I can get a work done as well as the delivery time. Keep track of the repair tasks. "  -Ole Sørensen

What skills and qualities do you contribute to your daily work?

"My skills, my experience with technical sales, and problem solving around technical tasks, and the ability to create good customer relationships. I see service and spare parts sales as a way to maintain good customer relationships, and hopefully retain customers in the store. I strive to be the customer's ambassador who helps with all the solutions."- Ole Sørensen

What's the most fun thing about your job?

Concurrent study

Ole has followed an education course alongside his work over a few months. He has completed Project Manager, Leadership in Practical, Six Sigma, and is in the process of Leading Business Understanding all with 10 ECTS points. He has worked with Hydro-Con as a case, got great grades, and at the same time had the opportunity to try the things he learns in his everyday work life.
