Do you have an attic or basement room that you do not fully utilize because access to it is too limited? Then a cargo stair lift, might be the solution.
Stairlift to the basement or attic
Do you have an attic or basement room that you do not quite get fully utilized because access to it is simply too limited? In many older Danish metropolitan buildings, where there are shops and kiosks on the ground floor, it is impossible to include basement rooms for storage. The narrow staircases of the older buildings, as well as the prospect of heavy and long lifts, make what is stored down there minimal, to spare themselves and the staff's backs. Elevators are rarely an option as the measurements are too tight, and it requires a large investment. A stair lift, on the other hand, requires only a small investment and can be installed along all types of staircases.
Stair lift for people, cargo or renovation containers
We offer 3 different types of stairlifts, namely for person, freight or refuse container transport. Stairlifts can always be used for the highest common denominator and down. This means the passenger stairlift, which is intended for person transport, can also be used for goods and refuse containers. The freight stair lifts are exclusively for cargo and refuse collection. And the renovation lift is only suitable for refuse containers as it has lifting fittings that engage under the frame of the waste container. There are different models of each, but the passenger stairlift can lift up to 300 kg maximum, the freight lift up to 500 kg and the refuse lift up to 200 kg.
Stairlift Installation
All our stairlifts are designed for wall installation along a stairway. If a wall is not present or not bearing, the lift can be mounted on a pillar system or with a few individual support pillars depending on the conditions. The lift is designed to be installed indoors and outdoors. The lift can be mounted on the support pillars at the top, where the lift rail goes up over the wall. The lift is made up of a fixed and a movable part, only the platform and its suspension move along the stairs. The lift rail is the fixed part that is attached to the building with wall brackets. The lift's simple and solid construction makes it very easy to adapt to different stair angles and staircases.
Maintain full staircase functionality
Installing a stairlift is not at the expense of the staircase; on the contrary, it increases depending on the stair lift type, the accessibility to wheelchair users, disabled people, cargo and other types of heavy loads. Optionally, you can choose to what extent the stairlift must be automated or manually controlled. For example, whether the platform should retract automatically after use or if it should be moved up manually. You can also limit who can use the stairlift, for example by letting it be key controlled. When the platform is turned up along the wall before or after use, the stairway is still free for full utilization so that you maintain the full function of the staircase
Save 35% on upgrade or replacement
Right now we are running a campaign where you can save 35% , when upgrading or replacing your current freight or refuse stair lift! The age, frequency of use, and usage behavior taken into consideration, we recommend that you get a review and assessment of your existing lift solution. In this way, you will be able to avoid downtime and breakdowns at inconvenient times that paralyze business and goods deliveries by acting proactively. In some cases it will be relevant to replace the lift, in others it will not. Regardless, we can help with complete or partial renovation as well as repair of the lift if necessary or needed.
Video from store in Copenhagen with basement storage room
We have delivered a number of stairlifts to street shops and kiosks in Copenhagen, as they usually have to squeeze their shops into limited premises in inner city, and need storage locations in the basement below.
The video below from a kiosk at Gammeltorv in Copenhagen shows how great a goods / cargo stair lift is. In this case, it would not really be possible to utilize these premises for storage, since there is no room at all for incorporating an elevator and it would require enormously long lifts of staff!
