2019 has offered many new initiatives
This is the time of year when we say goodbye to 2019 and welcome the new year. 2019 for HYDRO-CON has been filled with many exciting tasks and new initiatives on different fronts. We look forward to what 2020 has to offer, but first lets have a look at some of the key points for this year.
120 newly installed installations
We close the year with about 120 newly installed installations in Scandinavia in 2019. That is approximately a new installation every three days, we think that is a result we can be proud of. It's everything from smaller stairlift solutions for people as well as goods, to multiple elevators for housing associations, and then also a few custom products in between.
Especially the customized products stand out, as we have the opportunity to deliver solutions that others cannot and get to try our hand at tasks beyond our normal product range. For example, we have set up an elevator for an indoor slide by a public swimming pool in Sweden, where special reservations had to be made about the chlorine-containing environment and erosion of the installation. In addition, we custom built a handicap stairlift including a staircase, which does not fall under the usual range for us.
Focus on product development
HYDRO-CON has always developed and manufactured our own products, and we have more than three decades of experience with it. But especially 2018 and 2019 have been spent further developing our HSC elevator. The goal has been to further optimize the energy consumption levels, reduce noise levels and optimize speed. We look forward to launching it in 2020.
New sales and marketing initiatives
2019 was also the year we launched our website, which is constantly being worked on and developed. The team has also been expanded with Carsten in sales, and Kamilla in marketing and communications, and Jette in bookkeeping.
Extended warranty period for our products
This is also the year where we have opened up the option of extending the standard warranty period from 1 to 3 years on our installations. If you sign a service contract that includes both safety inspection and maintenance with us, we extend the warranty period for your installation from 1 to 3 years. With a service contract with us, you are assured that our service technician's foremost task is to ensure that your system complies with applicable safety standards, has optimum uptime, reliability, and a long product life span with high performance.

Finally, we would like to thank all our customers and partners for a good year and wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We look forward to what 2020 has to offer. Should you need to get hold of us over Christmas, we will be reachable most days. Below are the few exceptions.

We will remain open for almost the entire Christmas holiday, with the following exceptions.

- December 25-26, closed
- January 1, closed
