Frants founded HYDRO-CON in 1988
34 years ago today, Frants Oldenburg founded HYDRO-CON, and it has been celebrated with a shared breakfast for the company's 27 employees. At the time, Frants was aware that there was a lack of quality lifts that could withstand the Nordic climate, and therefore took the initial steps towards starting HYDRO-CON. Since then, it has grown to more than 30 overall product groups, all of which come with several sizes and customization options. The products have been continuously developed and optimized over the years, and the quality and safety of the products has never been compromised!
Milestones in the company
HYDRO-CON experienced a breakthrough in the market in the mid-90s when they broke through with their RenoLet solutions. These were 3 solutions that all lift waste containers up stairs or from narrow basements. The solution coincided with at time where the regulations regarding garbage workers' lifting was optimized. And therefore the solution is to be found in use at many apartment complexes in inner city today.
HYDRO-CON experienced another special milestone in the early 00's when we entered the market with our own uniquely developed aluminum elevator. This elevator laid the groundwork for our entire AluLet series as we know it today. Particularly unique about these products are:
- They are produced primarily from aluminum, which in addition to being a sustainable material, also means that our products are particularly suitable for the environment in the Nordic region and do not rust and are damaged by salt, frost and rain etc.
- that they are produced as a single drop-and-go module, with elevator shaft, cabin and engine in one
- that they can be adapted in countless ways, and in incredibly narrow dimensions
- that they are lightweight quality products, so that they can also be used especially for modular construction.
HYDRO-CON today
Frants also has a birthday here in the month of May and turns 75 this year. He is still an active and important part of the company's construction and special sales departments. However, his son Ulrik Oldenburg took over the management and primary ownership in 2010 to this day. In January 2022, they chose to pick up qualifications from outside and appoint Jens Kofoed as CEO, while Ulrik and Frants retain ownership and their roles in the operation of the company.
We look forward to the next 34!
